PAW PAW, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Police in Paw Paw say that two suspects have been arrested in an attempted theft case while the search is still on for one.
Police say that suspects Corina Briseno and Jeremy Thrasher have been booked into the Van Buren County Jail on armed robbery charges.
The third suspect, Emiliano Briseno, is currently wanted on retail fraud charges.
Police say that on November 27th, the three suspects attempted to steal TV sets from the Walmart on South Kalamazoo Street. The attempted theft led to an altercation between the suspects and a worker.
Some civilians attempted to help, with one firing a warning shot to scare the suspects.
Police say that Thrasher was booked on December 27 with a scheduled court date of January 27. He is held on a $100,000 bond.
Briseno was booked later on January 10 with a scheduled court date of Wednesday, January 22. She is held on a $500,000 bond.
