KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo County Sheriff deputies say nobody was injured after a car/train crash in Brady Township.
It happened just before 7 p.m. Sunday at the railroad tracks across North Indian Lake Drive and East T Avenue near Indian Lake.
Authorities say the driver was attempting to turn onto North Indian Lake when they mistakenly turned onto the railroad tracks, became stuck on the tracks, and then the vehicle was struck by a train.
The vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the incident and there were no reported injuries.
Few other details have been released at this time. Investigators do not believe alcohol was a factor.
South County Fire/Rescue and Pavilion Fire/Rescue assisted the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department during the incident.
