PRAIREVILLE TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Michigan State Police are investigating after a police pursuit ended when a pickup truck landed on top of a roof in Barry County.
It occurred just before 1 a.m. Friday at a home in the 11000 block on Oak Drive near Crooked Lake in Praireville Township.
Authorities say they were trying to stop the driver along Pine Lake Road as they sped up to 100 mph.
That’s when the suspect turned onto Oak, went off a hill, and smashed into the roof of the home, knocking out power to some nearby homeowners.
WOOD-TV reports that the home is a summer home so apparently nobody was inside at the time and the driver was not hurt.
It’s unclear if the subject is in custody at this time.
