KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo city officials say as of Wednesday, January 15th at 6:30 p.m., the precautionary boil water advisory issued for portions of Evelyn Avenue has been lifted.

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The city of Kalamazoo is warning some residents to avoid using water as crews work to repair a water main break.
A boil water advisory was announced after the break occurred on Evelyn Avenue during the afternoon of Monday, January 13th. City and county health officials are warning those who live near the break to boil any water intended for drinking or ingestion until the advisory is lifted.
The affected area includes residences on both sides of Evelyn Avenue from South Westnedge Avenue to South Rose Street, South Park Street at the northeast corner near Evelyn Avenue, and the northeast and southeast corners of South Westnedge and Evelyn Avenues.
As of Monday afternoon, the City of Kalamazoo says that were no confirmed tests of bacteria near the location of the water main break. The boil water advisory is expected to be lifted within 72 hours, or on Thursday, January 16th.
