KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Two people are in custody after an illegal drug investigation led to a search warrant on Kalamazoo’s Northside.
Public Safety officers surrounded a business in the 700 block of Douglas Avenue near West North Street around 1 a.m. Friday as over ten people exited the business.
Each person was temporarily detained and two were found with outstanding warrants and taken to the Kalamazoo County Jail.
Officers then searched the business and recovered a firearm, ammunition, and drug paraphernalia.
Drug and firearm violation charges are now being requested against the store.
Officers could not provide the store’s name at this time. No other details have been released.
