ANTWERP TWP., MI (WKZO AM/FM) — After a house fire erupted just one day after christmas, the owners of one Paw Paw area home are thankful that they’re dogs are safe and sound.
Crews from the Paw Paw Fire Department responded to a fire in Antwerp Township at 7 P.M. on Thursday, December 26th at a home on the 5000 block of 30th Street.
It’s unclear if any people were inside at the time of the blaze, but firefighters were able to rescue three dogs from the burning building and report no injuries resulting from the incident.
Both the Lawton Fire Department and the Mattawan Fire Department assisted in quelling the house fire. Firefighters are currently investigating the source that caused the flare-up to ignite.
