COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo County Sheriff deputies are investigating after a Christmas Day search warrant led to the discovery of a homemade explosive device.
Authorities executed the warrant at a home in the 8200 block of East H Avenue near North 30th Street in Comstock Township just before 7 p.m. Wednesday in regards to stolen property and a narcotics investigation.
There they located suspected methamphetamine, firearms, and the explosive device.
Kalamazoo Public Safety officers were called in to help safely remove the explosive device. No other details have been released at this time.
The incident is still under investigation and officers say charges are being sought against several individuals involved.
