BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The W.K. Kellogg Foundation has been elected the new leader of the organization after trustee’s met to decide a new chairperson this week. Dr. Celeste A. Clark of Battle Creek has been chosen to lead the area non-profit during 2020 for a one-year term.
Clark has been a trustee with the organization since 2011, and is principal at Abraham Clark Consulting, a health and regulatory policy consulting firm in the Battle Creek region that specializes in food and health policy.
She also previously worked at Kellogg Corporation beginning in 1977, overseeing actions by the company as senior vice president of global public policy and eternal relations and was chief sustainability officer.
The group also re-elected trustees Ramon Murguia, Cathann Kress, and Christina Hanger to new three year terms during the meeting.
The Kellogg Foundation, founded by breakfast cereal mogul Will Keith Kellogg, is among the largest philanthropic foundations in the country. The group’s main activities are centered around programs benefiting children and families in the Southwest Michigan region, but operates programs that benefit communities across the U.S. and internationally.
