KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A sanitary sewer caused a bit of trouble on Saturday with an overflow of nearly 700 gallons of material with run-off reaching Kalamazoo’s Spring Valley Lake.
City officials say responders took action around 12 p.m. at the manhole located at 2600 Mount Olivet in Spring Valley Park where a blockage was found.
Department of Public Services Staff removed the blockage around 1:20 p.m. restoring normal flow and remediation of the affected area.
