KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Fire Marshal’s office of Kalamazoo is investigating a suspicious structure fire that took place Tuesday morning.
Just before 9 a.m., Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers were called to the 1100 block of Charlotte in response to a house fire.
Flames and smoke were located in the back of the house. The fire was extinguished, but the homeowner was transported to Borgess Hospital for treatment of possible smoke inhalation.
The homeowner was later released.
Officials say that the fire is suspicious in nature and the case remains under investigation at this time.
