KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Those looking to ride the Amtrak out of Kalamazoo will soon no longer be able to by a ticket at the station.
Amtrak officials say starting next year the ticket window at the downtown Kalamazoo station on North Burdick Street will close for good, because less people are buying tickets in person and instead purchasing online.
The trains will still run like normal, passengers will just have to head to their website to buy tickets.
This comes as more and more ticket windows are closing throughout the state due to the ongoing growth of technology and easy access to internet.
