ROSS TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A driver is in critical condition after colliding with a semi-truck near Augusta, temporarily shutting down the highway.
The incident happened right before 8:30 A.M. on M-89 near 44th Street in Ross Township, on Friday December 6th. Police say that the driver of a car and a semi-truck collided, but are not sure what led up to the crash.
The driver of the car was seriously injured and rushed to the hospital for treatment. Their name has not been released by authorities.
Police say that the driver of the semi-truck was uninjured in the collision.
Parts of M-89 were closed in both directions following the accident between 44th and 46th street as crews worked to examine and clear the scene.
