KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Several options will be available to citizens for a free Thanksgiving dinner in the Kalamazoo and Western Michigan area.
Some organizations are requesting help through additional donations or volunteers.
Kalamazoo:
- Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kalamazoo and Urban Alliance of Kalamazoo: Free meal Wednesday at 5 p.m. at 915 Lake Street, Kalamazoo. Donations will be accepted in person or online.
- God’s Kitchen of Michigan: Dinner takes place on Nov. 27th from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 1000 W. Paterson Street, Kalamazoo. Donate funds at this link.
- Theo & Stacy’s, 234 W. Michigan Ave. Dinner takes place on Thanksgiving from noon – 2 p.m. Volunteer slots are full for this event.
Battle Creek:
- The Fire Hub. Thanksgiving Day meal at 375 Kendall Street, Battle Creek. Volunteers can register by calling 269-753-0065.
Marshall:
- Broadway Grille. Free Thanksgiving Day meal served via local delivery or dine-in from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is donation-based with all proceeds going to charity. Volunteers can register by calling 269-781-9200.
In Kalamazoo, the free Thanksgiving dinner hosted by God’s Kitchen was previously canceled, but reinstated after donations from the community.
