BENTON HARBOR, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Authorities say 24-people involved in a drug trafficking ring, distributing meth in the Kalamazoo area, have now all been convicted.
On Friday the last 4 defendants from Benton Harbor were convicted of conspiring to distribute meth and could face up to life in prison when they are sentenced next year.
The most recent trial was for suspects 27-year-old Kevin Cannon, 39-year-old Timothy Roy Mason, 28-year-old Darrell Lee-Lamont Summers II and 31-year-old Tremain Lamar Braxton.
The drug dealers apparently sent mass amounts of money to drug suppliers in California and Arizona and then shipped hundreds of pounds of meth back into the state where they distributed it throughout southwest Michigan between 2016 and 2018.
This led to multiple drug busts, including 3-packages which contained about 14-pounds of crystal meth.
