OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A suspect, involved in an Oshtemo jewelry store robbery that resulted in a cross-state police chase, is now heading to trial.
20-year-old Devin Harris faces two counts of unarmed robbery for his part in a smash and grab at the Kay Jewelers on West Main Street back on October 5th.
Deputies say he ordered two clerks to the ground while 18-year-old Darius Lanier smashed the counters with a hammer and ran off with $200,000 worth of jewelry, eventually being caught across the state near Detroit.
Harris was in court on Monday but did not reach an agreement so his trial is set for January 22nd.
Lanier pleaded guilty back on November 12th and will be sentenced on December 9th. The third suspect is a juvenile from Wayne County.
