KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Hockey fans are waiting to see if the latest K-Wings game was also the largest lightsaber battle.
At Saturday’s game at Wings Event Center, fans attempted to break the lightsaber battle world record for Star Wars Night.
Almost 4,500 red and blue lightsabers were distributed, the lights were dimmed, and attendees battled it out for 3-minutes and 45-seconds.
The current record is from a May the 4th lightsaber battle in Kansas City with about 3,800 participants.
Officials from Guinness World Records will review the event to determine if the record was broken.
