KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — It’s crunch time as candidates for Kalamazoo’s next mayor and city commissioners give their final push before the November 5th election.
According to the campaign finance statements, all 8 candidates for the 3 open spots on the city commission have raked in more than $63,000 in donations.
Pete Kushner received the most with over $17,349, followed by Jeanne Hess at $14,869, and Chris Praedel with $13,877.
In the race for mayor, more than $57,000 have been contributed to the 4 candidates: David Anderson, David Benac, Esteven Juarez and Corey Smith.
David Anderson reportedly raised over $39,242 in 168 campaign contributions and David Benac received $17,760 from 188 donations.
