FAWN RIVER TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Michigan State Police troopers are looking for two suspects who took firewood from a Fawn River Township home in St. Joseph County over the weekend and then tried to run over the homeowner.
Troopers say the larceny took place Sunday in the 71000 block of Bauman Road.
The suspects were driving a newer model black Jeep Cherokee with an Indiana registration beginning with the letters “TK.”
The homeowner saw the vehicle go into his driveway. A man and a woman then began loading the wood into the vehicle.
After a confrontation, the driver almost struck the homeowner while leaving the property through the yard.
The vehicle was last seen fleeing south into Indiana.
