KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — More than 5,000 8th graders from Calhoun, Cass and Kalamazoo Counties are heading to the Kalamazoo County Expo center to discover new careers and look into what they want to do after high school.
MiCareerQuest Southwest “Connect the Dots” is a hands-on career readiness event where students will test-drive possible careers, straight from professionals.
It includes over 70 employers from industry areas such as Engineering & Manufacturing, Health Sciences, Natural Sciences, Construction Trades, and Information Technology.
Their website states, “Imagine CNC machines, CPR dummies, robots, surgical saws and bricklayers – all up close and personal with not a ‘Don’t Touch!’ sign in sight.”
The event runs Tuesday and Wednesday at the Expo Center.
