PARK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A suspect, accused of stabbing a family member, is now in the St. Joseph County Jail.
Deputies were called to a home on North Fisher Lake Road near Marcellus Road in Park Township around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday after a reported assault between family members.
The suspect fled on foot before officers arrived and a 21-year-old woman suffered a non-life threatening knife wound to her neck.
The Three Rivers Police Department launched K-9 Django who found the man at a nearby property. He attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended.
The 23-year-old is charged with assault with intent to commit murder and interfering with 911.
