EDWARDSBURG, MI (WKZO AM/FM ) — Cass County Sheriff deputies say over 100 animals were taken from a home earlier this month due to deplorable conditions.
Animal control and the sheriff’s office executed a search warrant at a home on May Street near Martin Road in Edwardsburg on October 8th on suspicion of animal cruelty.
There they located the animals in varying states of health and seized them because of the conditions.
The animals taken included dogs, horses, a miniature pony, turkeys, goats, chickens, geese, ducks and a cat.
The suspect’s name is being withheld at this time pending their arrest and arraignment.
