KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — With over a month into the new school year, the Kalamazoo Public School district is finally releasing their full school calendar.
The delay was due to ongoing contract negotiations between the teachers union and the district.
A tentative schedule was released with dates until the end of December, but some parents have expressed their frustration over not having a full calendar.
At a school board meeting last month one parent said it’s difficult to be a working mom when she doesn’t know what days her child will not have school.
An agreement was officially approved and the full calendar was released on October 11th.
The last day of school is set for June 12th.
