KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — On Thursday, Oct. 9th, the Road Commission of Kalamazoo County (RCKC) will be hosting a community open house for the public.
The purpose of the open house is to celebrate 110 years of service in the Kalamazoo area.
“The event provides an opportunity to celebrate 110 years of public service with the community we serve, as well as an opportunity to share what we do and who we are as a dedicated organization and team in public service,” Managing Director Joanna I. Johnson said in a press release.
The family-friendly event will include a tour of the facility, the chance to meet RCKC officials, A formal presentation for Put the Brakes on Fatalities Day at 5:00 p.m.
Refreshments will be served during the open house. The event begins at 3:00 p.m. and will last until 5 when the presentation begins.
The RCKC is located at 3801 East Kilgore Road.
