KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Two Kalamazoo men are in custody after a shooting at an apartment complex in the city’s West Douglas Neighborhood.
Public Safety officers were called to a report of shots fired at the Fox Ridge Apartments off of Alamo Avenue around 11:30 p.m. and found a suspect fleeing on foot near Douglas Avenue and West Patterson Street.
The 24-year-old man was arrested after a short foot pursuit and is facing charges after officers recovered a firearm.
Then they were notified that a gunshot victim arrived at the hospital in a vehicle with what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries.
A search of that vehicle turned up another firearm and another 24-year-old man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant and gun charges.
