LANCASTER COUNTY, NE (WKZO AM/FM) — Police in Nebraska are reporting the arrest of a Michigan man who was driving an ambulance full of illegal drugs.
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says deputies pulled over 35-year-old Levi Weinthraub, originally from Kalamazoo, on October 2nd. Weinthraub was driving an ambulance and was apprehended for speeding and following too closely.
Upon closer inspection, authorities determined that Weinthraub was not an EMT and that the ambulance was not equipped with medical devices.
The ambulance was filled with many types of illegal drugs. Police suspect Weinthraub was using the ambulance to travel to different music festivals with the intent to sell.
Weinthraub is now being charged with several drug-related offences.
