LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Michigan State Police have announced the launch of a new mobile app that will help citizens keep up with police information and activity.
The app, “MSP Mobile,” is linked to the nearest State Police post in the area, or any other post of the users’ choosing.
The app can instantly provide information including traffic crashes, arrests, and other education and prevention information.
Users can also submit tips including photos and videos directly to State Police through the app.
An official press release lists additional features to the app –
- Profiles of Michigan’s most wanted fugitives
- Search the Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry
- Help solve cold cases
- Contact information and driving directions for MSP posts and districts statewide in a format that is GPS-enabled and sortable by city/address
“It’s our goal to make connecting with the MSP as easy as possible,” director of the MSP Col. Joe Gasper said in the press release. “This new app puts important public safety information literally in your hand and allows each user to customize their experience and interaction.”
MSP Mobile can be downloaded in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store by searching for “Michigan State Police.”
