KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A man accused of murdering his ex girlfriend and then dumping her body in a creek in Comstock Township is pleading guilty to second-degree murder.
26-year-old Donnovan Lewis admitted to killing 24-year-old Aniya Mack in June of last year, after he had an argument with her over a possible relationship she was having with Reverend Strick Strickland, who is the Pastor at the Second Baptist Church and President of the Kalamazoo NAACP.
Lewis could spend a minimum of 25-years in prison when he is sentenced on October 28th, but that will be after his current prison term.
He is already serving 17-months to 4-years behind bars for escaping the Kalamazoo County Jail last September.
He was caught about 30-minutes after.
