CASSOPOLIS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Cass County Sheriffs’ Office is investigating a single vehicle crash that took the life of a Decatur man Sunday.
24-year-old Eduardo Mendoza was killed when he lost control of his vehicle around 3:45 a.m. while driving eastbound on Yaw Street near the intersection of California Avenue in Silver Creek Township. The car left the roadway and rolled multiple times ejecting Mendoza who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol use is unknown at this time and speed does appear to be a factor in this crash. Authorities determined that seatbelts were not used as this case remains under investigation.
