ANTWERP TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Lawton man is dead after a driver blew through a stop sign, causing a 2-car rollover crash in Van Buren County.
It happened around 8 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 64th Avenue and 30th Street in Antwerp Township.
Deputies say a 26-year-old Paw Paw woman was traveling eastbound on 64th Avenue, failed to stop at the stop sign, and struck another vehicle, driven by a 60-year-old man, causing that vehicle to overturn and her vehicle to spin out and smash into a tree.
The driver that was hit was not wearing a seatbelt. He was rushed to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, but passed away on Thursday. His passenger was uninjured. No word on if the at fault driver suffered any injuries.
Investigators are still looking into the crash.
