PAW PAW, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Van Buren County Friend of the Court will begin a fatherhood training program this week through the National Fatherhood Initiative’s 24/7 Dad Program.
The 12-session workshop program is designed to train new, current, or expecting fathers in areas such as parenting and communication skills in order to be a responsible parent. The program will be hosted by Aaron Rosecrans and Abel Muñoz of the Friend of the Court Office.
The 24/7 Dad Program also focuses on developing good character habits, including discipline and balancing work with family life.
Since its introduction in Van Buren County in January 2018, the program has reached over 200 area children and has even seen expansion to the Van Buren County Jail.
The first session takes place Wednesday, September 4, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. at the Community Mental Health Building, 801 Hazen Street, in Paw Paw.
