LOWER MICHIGAN (WKZO AM/FM) — The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids is warning about the potential of severe weather for much of lower Michigan on Tuesday.
They say there is the possibility of damaging winds, large hail, and if conditions are right, tornadoes late Tuesday morning into early afternoon and once again later in the evening.
Consumers Energy is also reminding customers that if they come accross any downed electric lines during the storm stay at least 25 feet away and report it by calling 911 and Consumers Energy at 800-477-5050.
They add that homeowners should also never use a generator in an attached garage, basement, enclosed patio or near any air intakes because they could lead to carbon monoxide poisoning.
If power outages occur, restoration times and other safety tips can be found on their website.
