Some area superintendents say that the reason it’s hard for them to find bus drivers to hire is the strong economy.
Finding the right person to be a bus driver has been difficult, as it is a unique occupation that is not a full-time position.
Dean Transportation, a private company that contracts with numerous districts to provide buses, is also struggling to find bus drivers to hire.
