EAST LANSING (WKZO AM/FM) – New Michigan State University president Samuel Stanley is taking quick action to help the campus heal from the scars left by the Larry Nassar sexual abuse scandal.
He named MSU Police Lieutenant Andrea Munford and psychology professor Dr. Rebecca Campbell as the university’s sexual misconduct advisers.
Lt. Munford was a key part of building the case against Nassar, while Dr. Campbell has worked on helping clear the huge backlog of untested rape kits found in Detroit a decade ago.
President Stanley says the move is meant to better coordinate between his office and groups working to improve how MSU responds to sexual misconduct on and around campus.
