KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Police in Kalamazoo are searching for a bank robber that may be responsible for other recent robberies in the area.
Police say that around 1:30 Monday afternoon, the suspect, described as a black female around 40 years of age, entered Huntington Bank at 4300 W. Main Street wearing a surgical mask and gloves.
Witnesses say the suspect approached the counter and asked for money to be placed in a bag. A weapon was not implied or shown.
When officers arrived, the suspect had already fled. A K9 unit was unsuccessful in following her trail.
The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported in the incident.
Police believe the suspect may be responsible for other recent robberies, and are asking for help in identifying the person responsible.

This is the latest in a series of Kalamazoo-area bank robberies over the summer.
