KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety is investigating a shooting that wounded a person on Friday.
Authorities say that a woman was shot in the leg in the 1,000 block of Washington Street near Race Street.
Police located and arrested a 26-year-old suspect at a house nearby. A gun was found inside the home and the suspect was arrested on felony assault charges.
