KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Crews are looking into the cause of a power outage on Kalamazoo’s Westside.
It occurred just after 8 p.m. Thursday knocking out power for a couple hundred customers around the area of West Main and Solon Streets.
Kalamazoo Township firefighters were called to Westland Meadows Apartments on Leisure Lane off of Sage Street around 8:30 p.m. to rescue a woman who was stuck in an elevator due to the outage. She was uninjured.
Several homes and businesses around the area were without power, including our stations.
So far there is no word on what caused the outage.
