KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Family Health Center will be hosting its 10th annual Back to School Bash this week, which is meant to make sure children are up to date on their immunizations.
According to an official press release, activities of the day will include games and refreshments, along with providing backpacks filled with school supplies and hygiene kits.
In order to participate, families must register their children ahead of time and provide verification that their immunizations are up to date.
“We want to make sure kids are healthy and able to start school on time,” President and CEO of Family Health Center Denise Crawford said in the press release. “A student who doesn’t have all their immunizations may be kept out of school, which puts them behind academically. That’s why we’re doing our part to help families make sure their children are immunized.”
The event will take place on Friday, Aug. 9th from 12 to 6 p.m. at the Family Health Center’s Moses L. Walker Building, 117 W. Paterson Street.
