ST. JOSEPH, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Four people were killed and two others were injured in a traffic accident in Berrien County.
It happened around 12 p.m. Friday when a vehicle was hit by another that ran a stop sign on North Main and Miller Road. Authorities report that four people in the second vehicle died in the crash in Buchanan Township, just north of the Indiana state line. The two people in the vehicle that ran the stop sign were hurt and taken to area hospitals.
Officials have identified the four people killed in the accident. The driver is identified as 66-year-old Robert Klint of Sawyer. The passengers are identified as 60-year-old Melissa Klint, and 22-year-old Landyn Klint also of Sawyer, and 52-year-old Virginia resident Kent Williamson.
The sheriff’s department reports the occupants of the second vehicle, 53-year-old Dub Collins and 39-year-old Heather Collins of Buchanan, are in stable condition at an Indiana hospital.
