COLDWATER, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The third suspect in a plot involving kidnapping and child sexual abuse has taken a plea agreement as of Monday.
Jayme LaPointe of Athens pleaded guilty to several conspiracy-related charges for her part in a plot to kidnap, rape, and murder a child from a public area.
LaPointe and three other suspects were arrested before such a plot could happen.
The plea agreement will drop the charge of conspiracy to commit murder. Two of the three other suspects involved have been charged for their part, with a third awaiting trial.
Additionally, LaPointe has plead guilty to sexually assaulting a 1-year-old in 2017.
