HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 15-year-old boy drowned in the water at Eighth Avenue Park, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s officials.
Police were called on the report of the teen missing in the water just after 5 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2019.
Deputies and Georgetown Fire / Rescue, along with civilian bystanders on the beach, found the teen underwater. He was treated on scene and rushed to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital by LIFE EMS in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead.
His name is being withheld, pending family notification. This incident remains under investigation.-
