LANSING, MI (WJXQ) — The flying of two rainbow Pride flags on the Romney Building in downtown Lansing in June to recognize Pride Month isn’t sitting well with one Republican lawmaker.
State Representative Lynn Afendoulis of Grand Rapids has introduced a bill limiting the flags which would be allowed on state government buildings to just the U.S. flag, Michigan flag, and the governor’s official flag.
Governor Whitmer didn’t waste time issuing a response, posting on Twitter “my veto pen is ready.”
