DETROIT, MI (WTVB) – There is unity among the front runners for the Democratic presidential nomination on at least one issue, and that is they feel Congress should impeach President Trump.
Several candidates took that stance at a forum held by the NAACP in Detroit Wednesday, with former Vice President Joe Biden saying the report by Robert Mueller shows evidence of impeachable offenses.
New Jersey Senator Cory Booker says if Trump’s impeachment begins and fails, Democrats need to be ready in 2020 for a strong campaign with the White House.
Among Michigan’s U.S. House delegation, four Democrats along with independent and former Republican Justin Amash have called for the President’s impeachment for Russian interference in the 2016 election.
