HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Michigan State Police reports that 19 people died on Michigan roads since last week.
The State Police report that a total of 493 people died so far, this year; five more than this time last year.
Another 142 people were seriously injured in crashes, That’s a statewide total of 2,722 to date, and 61 fewer serious injuries than at this time last year.
MSP releases these figures every week. Police want to raise awareness of traffic safety issues, aiming at a zero-death count.
