KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Kalamazoo County Commissioner is announcing her run for State Representative.
Democrat and Commissioner Christine Morse will be campaigning for the District 61 seat, which is currently held by Representative Brandt Iden who will not be seeking reelection due to term limits.
District 61 includes Schoolcraft and Vicksburg, plus Portage, Oshtemo, and other areas in Kalamazoo County.
If elected, Morse says that her focus will be on flood damage control, as well as contaminated water issues such as PFAS.
This comes following announcements from County Commissioner Stephanie Moore and Vice Chair Tracy Hall who are both campaigning for the District 60 seat.
