(KALAMAZOO) (WKZO AM/FM) – Students at 2 Kalamazoo Public Schools are back in class Monday.
The Woodward School for Technology and Research and the Washington Writers’ Academy are operating on a year-round balanced schedule for the 2nd year, and students at the schools were greeted by members of the community and school officials.
The district has said the pilot program is designed to reduce what students forget over the traditional summer break…last year’s initial effort was successful, according to administrators at both schools.
