KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A moped driver is recovering from multiple injuries after striking a stop sign in Kalamazoo.
It happened just before 1 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Oakland Drive and Whites Road in the Oakland/Winchell Neighborhood.
Public Safety officers say the driver, who was not wearing a helmet, lost control of the moped, left the roadway, and hit the sign.
They were taken to a local hospital with numerous injuries and the exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
No other vehicles were involved.
