CASS COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A man could face up to life behind bars after making a false bomb threat to the Cass County Courthouse.
Patrick McMeeken, a habitual offender, was arraigned on Monday for 3 felony counts including a false report or threat of terrorism, using a computer to commit a crime, and conspiracy to commit obstruction of justice.
This comes after Cass county Central Dispatch received a 911 call back on June 21st that there was a bomb at the courthouse that would go off when the timer expired.
Authorities evacuated all the nearby buildings and searched the area, but they did not find anything suspicious.
After a further investigation McMeeken was arrested last Friday.
