HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Thirty people died on Michigan roads since last week, for a total of 474 this year. Compared to this time last year, that’s eight more fatalities.
Another 152 people were seriously injured, a statewide total of 2,579 so far this year — and 60 fewer than this time last year.
Michigan State Police provide these numbers on a weekly basis, to raise awareness in an effort to reduce traffic fatalities and injuries.
