GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) –Grand Rapids Police Deputy Chief Eric Payne has been selected to be GRPD’s newest Chief of Police.
Payne has been with the department for 32 years, and is replacing retired David Rahinsky.
City Manager Mark Washington praised Payne, saying, “He is responsive, tough on crime and collaborative and he is committed to community policing.”
