KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) –A Kalamazoo teen is now in custody after two armed robberies in the Edison Neighborhood earlier this month.
The Kalamazoo Metro SWAT team and the Kalamazoo Public Safety Criminal Investigation and Operation Divisions executed a search warrant in the 700-block of Millard Court near East Crosstown Parkway around 6:30 a.m. Thursday in regards to two armed robberies that occurred in the 900 block of East Vine Street between July 2nd and July 5th.
There they located an 18-year-old Kalamazoo resident linked to the robberies inside a home on Millard Court.
The suspect was arrested on armed robbery and felony firearm charges and is currently being held in the Kalamazoo County Jail.
